Renowned for its pristine beaches, majestic islands, and mouthwatering delicacies, Quy Nhơn also attracts tourists with its unique Cham cultural heritage. Among the must-visit destinations in Quy Nhơn is the Banh It Towers, an ancient Cham tower complex situated approximately 20km northwest of the city center.

Banh It Towers
The Banh It Towers, also known as the Silver Towers, were constructed by the Cham people around the late 11th century to early 12th century. The name “Banh It” originates from the complex’s resemblance to “Banh It,” a famous cake and specialty of Binh Dinh.
Banh It Towers is a cluster of four towers: the Eastern Tower, the Gate Tower, the Main Tower, and the Saddle Tower. The Main Tower, the tallest among them, is built on the hilltop, showcasing the characteristic Cham Kalan architectural style. The tower walls are constructed from fired bricks, adorned with intricate patterns and depictions of Hindu deities.

Bánh Ít Towers also serve as a repository of Champa cultural and religious values
Banh It Towers stand as a crucial cultural heritage site in Vietnam, recognized as a National Historical and Cultural Relic in 1979. The complex not only serves as a testament to the Cham people’s exceptional construction skills and artistic flair but also preserves their cultural and religious values.
Despite the decline of the Champa Kingdom, these remarkable towers have withstood the test of time, bearing witness to centuries of societal transformations and natural phenomena. Today, approximately 50 Champa tower complexes remain scattered across central Vietnam, with ages ranging from 500 to 1,000 years. These enduring relics have been recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, captivating visitors with their architectural splendor and cultural significance.

The Banh It Towers are a captivating destination for travelers passionate about historical and cultural exploration. Immerse yourself in the unique cultural legacy of the Cham people and make unforgettable memories during your Quy Nhơn adventure by visiting the Banh It Towers.
