Teqball World Series 2024: Exciting from the First Day in Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province

On the morning of June 6, the Opening Ceremony of the Teqball World Series 2024 took place at Quy Nhon Beach (Chien Thang Statue Square) along with some preliminary round matches for men’s and women’s doubles.
Attending the opening ceremony were:
- Mr. Pham Anh Tuan – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee
- Mr. Nguyen Van Dung – Member of the Provincial Party Committee’s Standing Committee, Secretary of Quy Nhon City Party Committee
- Mr. Lam Hai Giang – Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee
- A large number of local residents and tourists
The Opening Ceremony was attended by Authorities of Binh Dinh Province.
The tournament is organized by the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ), Saigon Sports Investment Co., Ltd., the People’s Committee of Binh Dinh Province, and the Binh Dinh Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. It takes place from June 6 to 9 and features 115 athletes from 52 countries around the world. From June 6 to 8, there will be 124 preliminary round matches; the finals and awards ceremony will take place on June 9.

Preliminary round matches for men’s and women’s doubles
In his opening remarks, Mr. Vaszlo Vajda, General Secretary of the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ), said: “I am very happy and grateful for the support and assistance of the Binh Dinh provincial leaders, the organizers, and the audience attending today’s event. From here, we are ready to spread teqball in Vietnam and make it a popular sport. We hope for a bright future for this sport through communication. Through this, the beautiful city of Quy Nhon will be better known internationally. We expect the athletes to showcase their skills and bring the best matches to the spectators.”
Mr. Vaszlo Vajda, General Secretary of the International Teqball Federation (FITEQ), delivered a speech at the Opening Ceremony.
The spectators were treated to spectacular goals, amazing saves, and the high sportsmanship of the athletes, creating an exciting and vibrant atmosphere in the stands.
A large crowd of local residents and tourists came to watch the tournament.
